LA FELGUERA - Cabo de Palos

La Felguera is one of those wrecks that just gets under your skin. We love how approachable she is; sitting upright on the sand at 28 metres, she’s perfect for divers looking to explore a proper, intact wreck without the usual deep-diving demands. You can glide along the main deck, peer into open cargo holds now home to schools of glasseyes, or swim through the wheelhouse. We’ve spent countless bottom times here, watching barracuda patrol the mast and discovering nudibranchs tucked into every crevice. Our favourite approach is to drop down on the bow and drift back towards the stern, letting the current, if any, carry us gently. Keep an eye out for the resident morays peeking from the shadows; they’re often curious. This site really suits divers who appreciate history and marine life living side-by-side, offering a compelling blend of exploration and discovery without being overly challenging.
