Why dive here
With 189+ marine species recorded in the area - including dolphins, mobula rays (devil rays), ocean sunfish (mola mola), octopuses and sea turtles - Puerto de Mazarron offers some of Cabo de Palos's richest diving. Water ranges 15-28°C, warmest July, August, September.
Puerto de Mazarron offers a straightforward dive, often used for training or a relaxed day out. We've seen various smaller fish species here, moving among the rocks and sand patches. It’s a decent spot for newer divers looking to build confidence without strong currents or complex navigation. Visibility can be a bit variable, but on a good day, it's pleasant enough for an easy dive.
