    StandoutRich in charismatic marine life

The house reef at Tauchschule Stefan Heidler in the Canaries makes for a relaxing shore dive, perfect for warming up your fins or a leisurely second plunge. We’ve had pleasant encounters with inquisitive Canary damsels flitting around the volcanic rocks, and a few times spotted a bird-eye conger peeking from its hidey-hole. Keep an eye out for bearded fireworms too, they’re surprisingly colourful. It’s a pretty easy entry and exit, so good for divers who prefer less fuss before their dive. The golden grey mullet school in surprising numbers sometimes, making for a nice backdrop.
