Why dive here
With 76+ marine species recorded in the area - including dolphins, octopuses, sea turtles, sperm whales and cuttlefish - The Rubicon Marina Ramp offers some of Canary Islands's richest diving. Water ranges 20-24°C, warmest August, September, October.
The Rubicon Marina Ramp is exactly what it sounds like – a gently sloping concrete ramp leading into the sheltered waters of the marina. It’s a superb spot for getting comfortable in the water, especially if you’re new to diving or haven’t been wet in a while. At a consistent 7m, you’ll find plenty of small stuff hiding amongst the boulders and weed patches that have colonised the man-made structures. We’ve spotted ornate wrasse, juvenile barracuda, and even the occasional small cuttlefish here, just puttering along. It’s a relaxed, easy dive, perfect for skills practice or a gentle introduction to the local underwater scene.
