With 76+ marine species recorded in the area - including dolphins, octopuses, sea turtles, sperm whales and cuttlefish - The Tongues offers some of Canary Islands's richest diving. Water ranges 20-24°C, warmest August, September, October.
The Tongues is a decent entry-level dive in the Canaries. Dropping to 19m, it's a calm spot, good for those getting comfortable with their buoyancy. You'll navigate through some interesting rock formations, and while it's not a pelagic hotspot, we've often spotted octopuses tucked into crevices and smaller reef fish darting between the rocks. It’s a solid choice for a relaxed dive, especially for newer divers.
