STANBURGH - Medes Islands

The Stanburgh wreck is a shallow, relaxed dive in the Medes Islands, perfect for a gentle afternoon. We often take newer divers here, or those looking for an easy second dive after something deeper. Lying at just six metres, it’s an old motor vessel, broken but still recognisable, with plenty of openings to peek into the remaining hull. You’ll find moray eels tucked into crevices, plenty of small schooling fish darting in and out, and the odd octopus clinging to the metal. It’s a nice option for photographers who want to spend time getting close-up shots without worrying about depth or currents.
