Dropping onto the Gavle, you’re looking at a proper piece of maritime history, a lighthouse vessel that went down in a snowstorm back in '75. She sits upright at 60 meters, a silent sentinel on the Baltic seabed, making her a solid pick for experienced wreck divers comfortable with deeper technical dives. The cold, dark water means visibility can be excellent, and it’s a quiet place, just you and the wreck. We've found the wheelhouse is a good spot to imagine the final moments, and while major pelagics aren't really a thing here, the steel structure is home to some hardy invertebrates and the occasional baltic cod eyeing you from a shadowy corner.
