META - Baltic Coast
The META, a steamship that went down in 1935, lies broken on the Baltic seabed. We find her in about 10 meters of water, making it a good wreck dive for less experienced divers or those looking for an extended bottom time. The stern section is the most intact part, showing off the sheer scale of the ship even in its ruined state. You’ll weave through scattered plating and ribs, keeping an eye out for blennies and small crabs tucked into crevices. It’s not a vibrant coral reef, of course, but the Baltic has its own subtle beauty.
