NIMETU-414 - Baltic Coast

Nimetu-414, off the Baltic Coast, isn't your typical wreck dive, and that's precisely why we love it. At a gentle 26 meters, this isn't some deep, dark behemoth. Instead, it's a smaller, incredibly intact historical wreck, a snapshot frozen in time on the seabed. We reckon it’s one of the best examples of a non-dangerous wreck dive in the region. What you'll find here is a vessel almost perfectly preserved by the cold, low-salinity Baltic water. We’ve finned over the deck, peered into open hatches, and even spotted the faint outlines of the ship's wheel. There's a real sense of history here, a quiet solemnity you don’t always get on more broken-up sites. Our favourite part is the way the resident blennies and gobies have made homes in every crevice. Visibility can vary, but on a good day, the light filtering down through the green water gives it an almost ethereal glow, making the exposed metalwork shimmer. It's a fantastic site for newer wreck divers or those who appreciate historical context over massive scale. You can really take your time exploring without feeling rushed. We'd suggest aiming for a calm day to get the best vis.
