RHEIN - Baltic Coast

The wreck of the *Rhein* sits in quite shallow water, just 2 metres deep, making it accessible for pretty much anyone. This isn't a deep, challenging technical dive, but rather a chance to explore a piece of history that’s been broken in two on a sandbar since 1958. You’ll find the remains of the old steamship scattered across the sandy bottom, the bow and stern separated, with smaller bits of superstructure providing shelter for the usual Baltic suspects – gobies, blennies, and sometimes a curious flatfish. It’s a nice, relaxed dive if you’re in the area and fancy a look at a proper old wreck without the need for advanced certs.
