With 121+ marine species recorded in the area - including dolphins, dwarf minke whales, humpback whales, orcas and seals & sea lions - DIANA offers some of West Coast (Gothenburg)'s richest wreck diving. Water ranges 3-18°C, warmest July, August, September.
The wreck of the Diana sits shallow, a fishing vessel that went down in 1949. Don't expect a deep dive here, it's pretty much at the surface, which makes it a good spot for a quick look or even snorkelling if you're in the area. What you'll find is the skeletal remains of a working boat, now well-integrated into the local ecosystem. Small fish dart amongst the ribs and structure, and we've spotted crabs tucked into crevices. It’s a gentle introduction to wreck diving, or just a pleasant way to spend an hour observing how nature reclaims man-made objects.
