ERNST - West Coast (Gothenburg)
ERNST, a wooden sailing vessel, lies at a challenging 41 metres off Gothenburg. Dropping down, you'll find the wreck is quite broken up, but its skeleton still offers plenty to explore, especially for those with experience in deeper dives and wreck penetration. We've seen some surprisingly large cod hiding in the holds and around the collapsed mast sections. The visibility here can be variable, but on a good day, the light plays nicely through the gaps, highlighting the encrusting anemones and sponges. This one’s definitely for advanced divers who appreciate the ghostly remains of maritime history.
