FREJA - West Coast (Gothenburg)

The Freja is a stout little tug, just shy of 20 meters, resting upright at 23 meters near Gothenburg. She went down in '94 after losing a propeller and taking on water, and frankly, we're glad she did, because she's a fantastic training wreck. You can swim through the wheelhouse and engine room, and the holds are surprisingly open, allowing for a good look at the machinery inside. Expect to see plenty of local crabs scuttling about and a surprising number of small cod sheltering in her nooks; it’s a solid dive for anyone looking to practice wreck penetration skills in manageable conditions.
