With 121+ marine species recorded in the area - including dolphins, dwarf minke whales, humpback whales, orcas and seals & sea lions - HELLE offers some of West Coast (Gothenburg)'s richest wreck diving. Water ranges 3-18°C, warmest July, August, September.
Helle, off the coast near Gothenburg, gives you a proper look at a fishing vessel, sitting upright at 50 metres. It’s a deep dive, naturally, so save this one for when you’re comfortable with the depth. The wreck itself is reasonably intact, a good size for poking around the deck structures and imagining its working life. Over time, it's become a decent artificial reef; you'll find plenty of small fish sheltering in the hold and around the stern. It's a solid wreck dive for those looking to experience some of the West Coast's deeper history.
