JURI - West Coast (Gothenburg)
The JURI, a steamship that went down in 1949, sits upright on the seabed at 35 metres in the chilly waters off Sweden's west coast. It's a proper wreck dive, dark and moody, with a silhouette that really emerges from the gloom. We've found the bow and stern sections quite intact, offering some interesting penetration points for experienced divers, though it’s classed as a dangerous wreck for good reason. Look for cod and ling lurking in the cargo holds, and often a decent amount of jellyfish drifting over the deck. It’s a great site for those who appreciate the quiet solemnity of a deep historical wreck.
