OCEAN - West Coast (Gothenburg)
The OCEAN wreck, sitting upright on the seabed off Gothenburg, is a surprisingly intact freighter, a real testament to the cold North Sea. She went down back in '72 when her cargo shifted, but thankfully everyone got off safely. Now, at 25 metres, you can follow her 43-metre length, exploring the main deck and even peeking into the holds, which are often home to some serious-sized cod. The superstructure offers plenty of nooks for blennies and gobies, and we've seen some impressive schools of saithe swirling around the mast. It's a great dive for those who appreciate a solid piece of maritime history colonised by the local fauna.
