SABB - West Coast (Gothenburg)
The SABB wreck, a former fishing vessel, sits in incredibly shallow water just off the coast near Gothenburg. We’re talking a maximum depth of one metre here, which means it’s less of a dive and more of a snorkel, or even a paddle, depending on the tide. Despite its easy access, there’s a surprising amount to see. The wreck itself is quite intact, offering nooks and crannies that are now home to small crabs scuttling over the metalwork and juvenile fish darting amongst the rusted plates. It’s a fantastic spot for photographers wanting to practice wide-angle shots with natural light, or for introducing kids to the underwater world without needing any heavy gear. Think of it as an open-air museum, always accessible, always changing with the light.
