SVEA (POSSIBLY) - West Coast (Gothenburg)
Diving the Svea off Gothenburg is a proper cold-water wreck experience. This old steamship sits upright at 33 metres, her hull a dark shape against the often murky green, visibility averaging around 5-10 metres on a good day. We’ve found her superstructure fairly intact, with plenty of entry points for careful penetration if you’re properly trained and equipped for overhead environments. The decks and cargo holds are home to conger eels, wrasse, and sometimes even a lurking cod. It’s a dive for those who appreciate the history and challenge of a genuine wreck, not for those chasing tropical colours. Expect cool temperatures and bring a strong torch.
