VENO - West Coast (Gothenburg)
The Veno, a fishing vessel that sank after a fire in 1974, now rests in a shallow 9 metres, making it an easy, relaxed dive for most divers. We usually find it’s a good second dive after something deeper, or for knocking the rust off after a surface interval. You’ll spend most of your time exploring the stern and midships, which are still fairly intact, though the bow is more broken up. There's a decent amount of light penetration, highlighting the resident blennies, crabs, and the occasional cod sheltering in the wreckage. It’s a comfortable dive, perfect for photographers wanting to practice their wreck composition without strong currents or deep deco obligations.
