BLUE TARTA - Cornwall & Devon
Blue Tarta, off White Nothe, isn’t your classic intact wreck. This motor vessel went down hard in 1971, leaving behind a scatter of broken plates and twisted metal across the rocky seabed. It’s more of an archaeological treasure hunt than a penetration dive, with pieces of the vessel spread out, creating interesting nooks for crabs and lobsters to hide. We've seen some impressive schools of pollack hanging around the larger sections of debris. It's a dive for those who enjoy piecing together a story from fragments, better in calmer conditions when the visibility holds and you can really search the rocks.
