C 19 - Cornwall & Devon
The C 19, a lighter vessel that went down under tow, lies in a decent 42 metres off the coast. While it's officially classified as "dangerous" from its sinking, for us divers, that just means it's a site to approach with respect and good planning. We’ve found it’s a good deep dive, suited for those comfortable with their buoyancy and deco procedures. The wreck itself is reasonably intact for its age, providing plenty of structure for conger eels to hide in, and the occasional anglerfish if you’ve got a keen eye. Visibility can be a typical UK mixed bag, but on a good day, the silhouetted form against the green makes for a memorable dive.
