ECHO - Cornwall & Devon
Diving the ECHO, we found a gentle introduction to Cornwall’s wreck diving, a ketch that’s been down since 1884. She ran aground on Jaileurs Reef and was pretty battered by the tide, leaving a scattered but interesting footprint on the seabed at just 6m. It’s not a full wreck you penetrate, more like a collection of ribs and hull plates that have settled into the reef. You'll spend your time spotting various crabs tucked into crevices and small fish darting between the rusty remains. It's a nice, easy dive for when you want a relaxed swim and a glimpse of maritime history without any heavy currents or deep commitments.
