With 176+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, dolphins, dwarf minke whales, humpback whales and ocean sunfish (mola mola) - Gascony offers some of Cornwall & Devon's richest wreck diving. Water ranges 10-18°C, warmest July, August, September.
The Gascony wreck in Cornwall lies at 24 metres, making it a good intermediate dive. We've found the visibility can be variable here, but on a good day, you'll pick out various sections of the cargo ship, which sank in 1918. Expect to see plenty of local wrasse and crabs exploring the structure. It’s a solid wreck dive for those comfortable with temperate waters and a bit of current.
