Why dive here
With 176+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, dolphins, dwarf minke whales, humpback whales and ocean sunfish (mola mola) - GE2 offers some of Cornwall & Devon's richest wreck diving. Water ranges 10-18°C, warmest July, August, September.
The GE2, a scuttled barge, sits upright in 23 metres. It’s a solid wreck, all 27 metres of it, offering a decent penetration for those suitably qualified. We’ve found plenty of pollack and wrasse darting around the structure, and the occasional dogfish tucked into a corner. It's a reliable dive for experienced wreck enthusiasts looking for something beyond the usual reef dive in the area.
