With 176+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, dolphins, dwarf minke whales, humpback whales and ocean sunfish (mola mola) - GSP offers some of Cornwall & Devon's richest wreck diving. Water ranges 10-18°C, warmest July, August, September.
Diving the GSP wreck in Cornwall is a proper journey back in time, a tangible piece of history sitting on the seabed. This old drifter, sunk after a collision in 1917, now rests at 23 metres. It's not a huge wreck, but there’s enough structure to explore, offering plenty of nooks and crannies that have become home to lobster, crab, and various wrasse. The GSP is a good spot for those who appreciate the quiet dignity of a well-preserved piece of maritime heritage, particularly divers interested in World War I losses. Current can be a factor here, so we always check the tides before heading out.
