HYDROMISS 3 - Cornwall & Devon

The Hydromiss 3 is one of those smaller wrecks that just consistently delivers. We love it because it’s shallow, accessible, and often overlooked, meaning you get to spend more time exploring rather than sharing your space. This isn't some colossal freighter, it's a hydrofoil, and that unique shape makes it fascinating to navigate – you can easily make out its distinctive wings and hull structure, feeling the curve of the metal as you fin past. At just 8 metres, it’s a perfect spot for newer divers getting their first taste of wreck diving, or for experienced eyes wanting to really slow down and appreciate the details. We've often found dogfish tucked into the sand nearby, and the Hydromiss itself is just draped in dead man's fingers, swaying in the gentle surge. Look closely and you’ll find plenty of small crabs scuttling amongst the growth and tiny blennies peering out from crevices. It’s a wonderfully tranquil dive, offering a proper sense of discovery without the pressure of depth or strong currents. Best explored on a calm day when the sun can really penetrate the water, bringing out the vibrant colours of the encrusting life.
