IBEX - Cornwall & Devon
The IBEX, a fishing vessel sunk by U-boat gunfire in 1918, lies quietly off the coast at 53 metres. It’s a deep dive, naturally, for experienced wreck enthusiasts who appreciate the history as much as the structure. The vessel itself is broken, but you can still make out the general shape, with the bow and stern sections offering the most recognisable features. Over a century underwater, it's become home to various crusty residents-we’ve often seen conger eels poking out from plates and spider crabs marching across the deck. Due to the depth and potential for currents, this is one for careful planning and decent trim.
