With 176+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, dolphins, dwarf minke whales, humpback whales and ocean sunfish (mola mola) - INGO offers some of Cornwall & Devon's richest wreck diving. Water ranges 10-18°C, warmest July, August, September.
The INGO, a steel-hulled fishing vessel, sits upright at 24 metres. She went down back in 1980, and time underwater has given her a real character. You can still make out the superstructure and parts of the wheelhouse, home now to plenty of crabs scuttling in the shadows. Look closely, and you’ll spot plumose anemones clinging to the metal, and often, schools of pollack will drift lazily around the mast. It's a proper wreck dive for those who appreciate history and the slow reclamation by the sea.
