INVERSNAID (POSSIBLY) - Cornwall & Devon

Diving the Inversnaid is a proper deep dive, a real descent into history off the coast of Cornwall. This isn't a site for the faint-hearted or those new to UK wreck diving. We're talking a full-rigged ship, coal cargo and all, that went down in a brutal Force 10 gale back in 1886. At 34 metres, the light really starts to thin out, painting the whole scene in those deep blues and greys we love. When you hit the seabed, the wreck isn't sitting pretty in one piece. We've found the hull still substantial in parts, huge plates of iron draped with dead man's fingers, a ghostly white against the gloom. Keep your eyes peeled for the deeper structure. We’ve had some fantastic encounters with conger eels here, proper thick ones tucked into the tighter spaces. It’s a site that demands good buoyancy and an appreciation for the raw power of the ocean, a truly humbling experience. This is for experienced divers who relish the challenge and the tangible connection to maritime history.
