JOSETTE LYNN - Cornwall & Devon

The *Josette Lynn* is one of those wrecks that just makes sense. She's a sailing vessel, gone down back in 1965, and now sits upright in a very polite 15 meters of water. We’d classify it as an ideal entry-level wreck, perfect for getting comfortable with overhead environments without getting too deep or too gnarly. We love the light here, even on a cloudy day, it filters down through the kelp forest that has draped itself over the deck. You can poke around the remains of the hull, spotting the ribs of the ship, now home to anemones and dead man’s fingers. Look for velvet swimming crabs scuttling over the timbers. Our favourite part is the bow, often blanketed in bright yellow jewel anemones. The mast is long gone, but the overall shape of the vessel is still very clear. If you time it right, an hour either side of slack water, the current is minimal, making for a truly relaxing dive. It's a proper British wreck, full of character, and a good spot to hone your wreck diving skills before tackling anything deeper.
