JUDY TWO - Cornwall & Devon

We’re big fans of the Judy Two, especially for those calm Cornwall days when you just want a pleasant dive without the drama. It’s a 9.1-metre yacht, sunk back in ‘79, and she now rests upright and largely intact at 33 metres. What we love about her is how she’s become a home for so much life. You’ll find plumose anemones blooming like white flowers on the rigging and hull, and the occasional dogfish tucked away under a ledge. We’ve often seen schools of bib flitting in and out of the cabin, their silver scales catching the ambient light. The wreck itself isn't huge, but there's enough to explore for a good 20-30 minutes. You can peer into the main cabin, imagine the instruments that once filled the dashboard, and swim around the small mast. It’s a very pretty site, best dived on a slack tide for the clearest views and easiest navigation. Our favourite time to dive it is early morning on a sunny day; the light filtering down through the kelp forest above is just magical. It’s a cracking second dive if you’ve done something deeper and more adventurous beforehand, offering a relaxed and genuinely beautiful experience.
