With 176+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, dolphins, dwarf minke whales, humpback whales and ocean sunfish (mola mola) - KARMA offers some of Cornwall & Devon's richest wreck diving. Water ranges 10-18°C, warmest July, August, September.
The Karma is a poignant little wreck, lying at 11 metres, an ideal depth for less experienced divers or those looking for a relaxed bimble. This 6.7-metre fishing vessel went down in 1994, a sad day for Brighton Marina. Now, she’s a compact home for the resident wrasse and crabs that dart in and out of her structure. You can fin around her whole length in a few minutes, appreciating how the ocean slowly reclaims these vessels. We often see spider crabs tucked into any available crevice, a good spot for some macro photography if the visibility plays ball.
