LA CHAUMIERE DU PECHEUR - Cornwall & Devon
The La Chaumiere du Pecheur, a trawler that went down in 1978, sits upright at 39 meters. It’s a good, solid dive for those comfortable with deeper wrecks in UK waters. We’ve found the stern section particularly interesting, with its fishing gear still somewhat intact and now covered in various jewel anemones, creating a colourful blanket. Look closely for dogfish resting in the sand around the hull, and a surprising amount of pollack darting through the superstructure. It's a proper British wreck dive; don't expect tropical visibility, but the character of the site really shines through.
