LABOUS MOR (POSSIBLY) - Cornwall & Devon

This one's a bit of a mystery, isn't it? The Labous Mor, possibly, is a wreck we've always found intriguing, less for its size, which at just over 9 metres is fairly compact, and more for the story. She was a fishing vessel that vanished after a distress call in 1991, and while she's classified as a non-dangerous wreck, there's a certain quiet solitude to diving her. Dropping down to 35 metres, you'll often find the visibility can be a bit hit or miss, typical for these waters, but when it clears, the wreck itself is a lovely, compact structure. We love how the fishing gear, nets, and winches are still largely intact, giving you a real sense of her working life. It's a fantastic spot for photographers who enjoy focusing on macro life and texture, as her hull is encrusted with anemones, dead man's fingers, and colourful sponges. Look closely in the nooks and crannies; you'll often spot some respectable conger eels, lobsters eyeing you from their holes, and sometimes a curious bib or two darting around. It's a dive that rewards slow exploration and a vivid imagination, picturing her final moments out on the open sea.
