MERA

Les Minquiers
Why dive here
With 176+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, dolphins, dwarf minke whales, humpback whales and ocean sunfish (mola mola) - MERA offers some of Cornwall & Devon's richest wreck diving. Water ranges 10-18°C, warmest July, August, September.
The MERA, a dangerous wreck sunk in 1887, lies in very shallow water, never deeper than two metres. It's a spot we'd suggest for snorkelers or very new divers keen to explore a piece of history right below the surface. You'll find the scattered remains have become home to crabs and small fish, giving a glimpse into how quickly marine life reclaims man-made structures. It’s an easy, historical dip without the need for advanced skills.
