The Minquiers, a fascinating collection of reefs and granite outcrops south of Jersey, offer a dive that’s distinctly British Isles. It’s not about tropical colours here, but rather a dramatic landscape of kelp-covered rocks and deep gullies, home to an impressive density of critters. We often spot conger eels tucked into crevices, massive spider crabs scuttling across the seabed, and the occasional curious grey seal darting past. You’ll need to pick your weather window carefully for the best visibility, but for those who appreciate temperate water diving and don’t mind a bit of a current, it’s a genuinely rewarding place to explore.
