MIOWN - Cornwall & Devon
The MIOWN, a steamship that went down in 1914, sits in only six metres of water off the Cornwall and Devon coast. It’s an approachable wreck, perfect for divers looking for a leisurely potter around history. Much of the wreck is broken up, scattered across the seabed, but you can still make out sections of the hull and machinery, now colonised by colourful anemones and dead man’s fingers. Schools of juvenile pollack often weave through the structure, and if you look closely, you might spot blennies peeking from crevices. We think it's a great second dive, or a relaxed option when the weather keeps you closer to shore.
