PERAS - Cornwall & Devon
Peras, lost off Frette Rock, is a fairly accessible wreck site, sitting at a shallow 2m. We’ve found it’s best when the light is good, as it truly brings out the character of the old steamship. You’ll be looking for the scattered remains of the vessel, which went down back in 1906. It’s a site for those who enjoy poking around history, with plenty of small nooks and crannies now home to the usual suspects: crabs scuttling over corroded metal and the occasional blenny peeking out. Given the shallow depth, it’s a calm dive, a good one for a relaxed afternoon.
