PERGO - Cornwall & Devon
The Pergo, a carrier vessel that went down in 1975 after colliding with the MV Zanibar, sits upright at 56 metres. This is a deep dive, make no mistake, and one we’d suggest for experienced technical divers comfortable with depths. The wreck itself, 47.9 metres long, has become a proper artificial reef; expect to see plenty of pollack and conger eels making homes in the holds. While the bow section is quite broken up, the stern still offers some interesting penetration opportunities for those with the right training. It’s a solid wreck dive for those looking to explore a piece of maritime history off the Cornish coast.
