The Prince of Bouillon isn’t about dramatic depths. This is a wreck for the curious, a scattering of history right in the shallows near Oyster Rock. We love how accessible it is, perfect for an extended snorkel or a very relaxed, no-decompression dive. You’ll find sections of hull, ribs, and ballast stones spread across the seabed, all encrusted with local life – dead man’s fingers coral, sea slugs inching along, and plenty of blennies peering out from crevices. It’s a gentle introduction to wreck diving, ideal for photographers wanting to capture intricate macro shots against a historical backdrop, or just anyone who enjoys poking around a piece of the past without the pressure of a deep dive. Look for the way the sunlight plays through the kelp, illuminating the barnacle-covered timbers.
