    StandoutExceptional marine biodiversity

The Quog, a small sailing vessel that went down in 1995 while under tow, is now a pretty decent little artificial reef, sitting at 18 metres. We wouldn’t exactly call it a classic Cornish wreck dive, but it’s grown into a home for crabs, lobsters, and a surprising number of wrasse darting in and out of the timbers. Because it’s relatively intact, there’s a sense of exploring something that truly belonged to the sea rather than just bits scattered on the bottom. We’d recommend it for divers looking for a relaxed, shallow dive, perhaps as a second dive, particularly if you enjoy watching smaller critters make a wreck their own.

    Safety Notes

Wreck site - avoid penetration without wreck diving certification. Watch for sharp metal and entanglement hazards.

Always perform a 3-minute safety stop at 5m before surfacing.
