RAJAH - Cornwall & Devon
The Rajah lies off Lundy at 46 meters, a deep dive but a rewarding one for those with the training. This steel sailing vessel, gone down in heavy weather back in 1896, still holds a lot of its original shape. You’ll find the bow and stern sections distinct, with plates and ribs giving shelter to dogfish and conger eels. Visibility around Lundy can be temperamental, but on a good day, the structure emerges from the green, revealing details like bollards and winches, now heavily encrusted with plumose anemones. It's a dive for those who appreciate maritime history and a bit of a challenge, definitely not one for your first deep dive, but a good target for experienced wreck hunters in the area.
