REMINDO - Cornwall & Devon

REMINDO is a proper classic, and one we’d put on any serious UK wreck diver's list. Lying in 44 metres, this trawler went down in 1918, a casualty of the Great War, though the exact cause remains a bit of a mystery. We love how intact she is for a wreck of her age; you can still make out the superstructure and the engine room, which is often the star attraction for us. Drop down the shot line and you’re immediately enveloped by the gloom, the wreck emerging slowly from the dark. Inside the engine room, conger eels are usually lurking, and outside, crabs scuttle across the plating while dead man’s fingers add a splash of colour. It’s a deep dive, demanding good bottom time management, but for those with the training, it’s a rewarding trip into maritime history.
