RINGEN - Cornwall & Devon
The Ringen, a steamship sunk in 1944 on passage to the Normandy beaches, lies at 48 metres, making it a dive for experienced wreck enthusiasts. This isn't a bright, colourful reef, but a historical journey. You’ll find the wreck itself, still largely intact, a somber steel skeleton attracting shoals of pouting and conger eels that have made its holds their home. The deep setting means limited bottom time, so plan your descent and exploration carefully to appreciate this piece of wartime history.
