ROBERT - Cornwall & Devon
The *Robert* is a solid choice for a wreck dive in the UK, especially if you appreciate a good story behind the steel. This motor vessel went down in 1975 after its cargo shifted on a Cardiff to Rouen run, forcing the crew to abandon her. Now, she lies at a very accessible 21 meters, upright and largely intact, making for an enjoyable exploration. You can still see the superstructure and engine room, which are now home to plenty of wrasse, conger eels, and plump lobsters tucked into every crevice. We’d say it’s a good one for anyone with their Advanced Open Water looking for a straightforward wreck dive that still feels like a proper adventure.
