With 176+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, dolphins, dwarf minke whales, humpback whales and ocean sunfish (mola mola) - ROBIN DHA offers some of Cornwall & Devon's richest wreck diving. Water ranges 10-18°C, warmest July, August, September.
The Robin DHA, a small sailing vessel that ran aground in 1972, lies just off Ringstead Beach. At a shallow six meters, it’s an easy dive, perfect for a relaxed afternoon. What you get here is a charming, broken-up wreck, its wooden timbers now well-worn and covered in the usual suspects: plumose anemones, dead man's fingers, and plenty of nudibranchs if you look closely. It’s a good spot for newer divers, or anyone keen on a simple, pleasant potter around a bit of history, without the challenges of deeper, more exposed sites. You won’t be penetrating anything, but there’s enough structure to explore and find macro life.
