ROSE BUD - Cornwall & Devon
The *Rose Bud* sits at 45 metres, a smack vessel sunk in 1918 after being captured and blown up by a submarine. It’s a good deep dive for experienced wreck divers, offering a quiet, slightly melancholic exploration of a smaller, older wreck. You'll find the wooden hull quite broken down now, but the framework still holds its shape, providing plenty of nooks and crannies for conger eels to hide. The structure attracts a decent population of crabs and lobsters, with schools of pollack often circling above. Conditions can be variable here, so picking a day with minimal current and good visibility makes all the difference.
