ROSS - Cornwall & Devon
The ROSS, a small merchant cruiser sitting upright at 60 metres, makes for a deep but rewarding dive off the Cornwall coast. Sunk in 1970, she's seen enough time on the seabed to become well-colonised. We've often found conger eels tucked into what's left of the superstructure and good numbers of squat lobsters clinging to the exterior. Given her depth, this is one for experienced technical divers, offering a chance to explore a compact wreck that still holds her shape, albeit with the slow creep of the ocean making its mark. Surface conditions can be choppy, so we'd suggest picking a calm day for the best experience.
