ROSSGULL - Cornwall & Devon
The Rossgull, a steamship that went down off Noirmont Point in 1900, sits in a relatively shallow 9 metres, making it a good wreck for less experienced divers or those looking for a longer bottom time. What’s left of her spreads out across the seabed, giving you plenty to explore without feeling pressured by depth. We often see conger eels tucked into the twisted metal, and the plates are now home to plenty of plumose anemones, their white tentacles swaying in the gentle current. It’s a somber site, knowing ten lives were lost, but the marine life adds a quiet beauty to the wreckage.
