    StandoutExceptional marine biodiversity

The Rosy Cross, a sailing vessel sunk by a German U-boat in 1917, lies at a comfortable 35 metres in the often-chilly waters off Cornwall. What’s left of her spreads out across the seabed, offering a good rummage for anyone keen on a bit of history and some decent marine life. We’ve found conger eels tucked into the deeper recesses and plenty of wrasse darting around the more exposed timbers. It’s a solid dive for those with a bit of wreck experience, perhaps looking for something a little different from the usual reef dives in the area. Just be mindful of the often-strong currents here; slack water is always our preference.

Deep dive (35m) - monitor air consumption closely. Advanced certification recommended.

Wreck site - avoid penetration without wreck diving certification. Watch for sharp metal and entanglement hazards.

Always perform a 3-minute safety stop at 5m before surfacing.
